Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers.  The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding Revolutionaries in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

Revolution Medicines Switzerland is seeking a motivated individual with a background in the life sciences industry to play a critical role in the accounting team. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Accounting Europe, this newly created role will lead the accounting operations for multiple European legal entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with local statutory and regulatory requirements. This role partners closely with global finance leadership and cross-functional teams to support business growth, drive process excellence, and maintain high standards of financial integrity across the region. This role is located in Basel, Switzerland.

  • Oversee accounting operations for European entities, including monthly GL close, and financial reporting.

  • Lead the European monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Review monthly European payroll and other related payroll liabilities. Prepare or review monthly payroll related accounting entries.

  • Prepare monthly cash, accounts receivable, revenue, gross to net deduction entries based on information from the European 3PL.

  • Assist with the EU intercompany & transfer pricing structure. Ensure the intercompany invoices are generated and paid in a timely manner and transactions accurately recorded in the multiple ledgers.

  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.

  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, local GAAP, and statutory reporting requirements across Europe.

  • Manage statutory accounts, audits, and filings in multiple jurisdictions.

  • Maintain and enhance internal controls, SOX compliance, and accounting policies.

  • Partner with Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and external advisors on complex accounting matters.

  • Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement of accounting processes.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors and regulatory bodies.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members across the region.

  • Support business initiatives such as entity setup and system implementations.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred.

  • Minimum of 11 years of progressive accounting experience, including multinational or regional scope.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the global biopharmaceutical industry, with proven success in scaling finance operations across Europe.

  • 3–5+ years of people management experience.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and European statutory reporting requirements.

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) in a multi-entity environment.

  • Proven ability to manage complex close processes across multiple countries.

  • Hands-on experience with SOX compliance and internal controls.

  • Fluency in English required; additional European languages a plus.

  • Strong project management and change management skills.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and handle simultaneous assignments under tight deadlines and in a fast paced environment.

  • Possess a superior attention to detail and a commitment to timely but accurate work.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across organizations and utilize resources effectively.
