As a multinational company present in more than 50 locations in over 25 countries, Global Mobility is a key topic for Julius Baer. Our Global Mobility team is responsible for providing fair und consistent standards and guidelines for international assignments, advises stakeholders on business cases and supports assignees in the preparation and realisation of their international transfers.In this role you are responsible for the following tasks:
YOUR CHALLENGE
- Manage the overall implementation and administration of the existing Global Mobility program
- Act as the central point of contact for stakeholders on mobility policy and processes
- Manage the full lifecycle of international assignments and transfers (i.e. approval process, remuneration package, assignee briefing, implementation)
- Handle market data for assignment remuneration packages, in line with the applicable policy
- Facilitate assignment cost management and manage policy exceptions according to the exception approval process
- Administer global social security, pension, risk and health insurance coverage for mobile employees
- Coordinate immigration and work permit applications with local HR and external service providers
- Lead the annual compensation review and year‑end sourcing of deferred compensation and equity awards for cross-border employees and international assignees
- Support vendor selection processes, initiate external vendor services and monitor service delivery quality (e.g. tax services, relocation services, immigration, global health coverage)
- Deputise and support Business Travel Compliance Specialist as needed
- Administer international pension, risk and health plans regarding new member registration, member de-registration, interaction with members and HR stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement and scalability of Global Mobility processes, templates and tools, leveraging automation and HR systems
- Support Global Mobility Projects and cross‑functional initiatives, including business travel compliance topics and collaboration with HR and Talent stakeholders on internal mobility initiatives
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert on cross-border income tax and social security topics within the organisation
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in banking, finance, business administration, economics or human resources
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in Global Mobility in a larger, multinational company or in a consultant capacity
- Strong understanding of current and future international assignment types
- Solid understanding of shadow payroll and Swiss income tax; broader cross‑border tax exposure preferred
- Knowledge of global tax and social security systems and associated issues arising in cross-border taxation
- Knowledge of business traveller compliance topics is an advantage
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
- Sophisticated verbal and written communication skills in German and English, any other languages a plus
