The Opportunity:
Revolution Medicines Switzerland is seeking a motivated individual with a background in the life sciences industry to play a critical role in the accounting team. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Accounting Europe, this newly created role will oversee the daily Procure to Pay operations across multiple European entities, automate the AP process, adhere to internal controls, and foster a collaborative, high-performance work environment. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant processing of contracts, purchase orders, vendor invoices, vendor payments, employee expense reimbursements and VAT filings while driving process improvements, standardization, and strong internal controls across the region. The role is located in Basel, Switzerland.

Lead and manage the European Procure to Payment function, covering multiple countries and legal entities.

Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor purchase orders, invoices, employee expense reports, and payments.

Provide hands-on support and guidance to accounting team on all operational AP and month end closing activities and support with monthly accruals preparation, promoting accuracy, accountability, and collaboration.

Oversee the monthly closing of AP records, ensuring all transactions are recorded and processed accurately.

Maintain compliance with local statutory, tax (VAT), and regulatory requirements across Europe.

Develop, document, and enforce AP policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve AP transaction issues and maintain smooth workflows.

Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, addressing payment and invoice related issues promptly.

Manage the processing of employee travel and expense reports, corporate credit card programs, and provide guidance to travel program users, ensuring all T&E transactions adhere to company policies and procedures.

Prepare, submit, and provide detailed explanations for all AP audit materials, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Design and maintain EU KPI dashboards to purchase order, invoice processing and payments performance and deliver actionable insight for senior finance leadership.

Supporting treasury team with liquidity forecasting, daily cash movements, intercompany settlements and bank relationships.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.

9+ years accounts payable experience with proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and guide a team. 4+ years of people management experience, preferably in a regional or multinational environment.

Strong knowledge of European AP practices, VAT, and multi-currency transactions.

Commitment to accountability, ownership, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Strong organizational, problem solving, and project management skills with high attention to detail.

Fluency in English required; additional European languages a plus.

Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with MS Excel and Microsoft Office products.
Preferred Skills:

Experience driving accounts payable system enhancements.

Experience with Netsuite, Coupa, and Concur software systems highly desired.
