The Position
Group Communications (GC) is responsible for creating a lasting positive image of Roche and representing the company’s voice at a Group level. We communicate Roche’s strategy and how we deliver on our purpose of “Doing now what patients need next” to Roche colleagues and external audiences. The Brand & Digital Experience Centre of Excellence (CoE) is where creativity, insight, and technology come together to shape how the world experiences Roche. The Position
As Associate Manager, Channels & Communities, you will support Roche’s day-to-day digital engagement and publishing activities, helping deliver content that informs, inspires, and connects audiences worldwide. Reporting to the Head of Channels & Communities, you will help manage and grow Roche’s digital communities, ensure meaningful interactions, and support the execution of channel strategies closely aligned with campaigns and brand priorities.
The Opportunity
To excel in this role, you will undertake a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing our digital presence and audience connection:
Community Management: Help manage day-to-day community engagement, including monitoring, moderating, and flagging relevant audience interactions or emerging issues.
Content Publishing: Assist in preparing and scheduling posts through Roche’s publishing tools (e.g., Sprinklr) and help maintain social content calendars and asset libraries.
Support the execution and continuous optimisation of channel strategies, ensuring alignment with campaign objectives, audience needs, and overall brand and engagement goals
Creative Collaboration: Partner with Creative Solutions and Campaign Activation teams to ensure content aligns with brand objectives.
Advocacy & Executive Support: Provide support to the employee advocacy programme and contribute to executive visibility activities through content drafts and analytics.
Performance Tracking: Gather and consolidate social performance metrics in collaboration with the Intelligence chapter to support reporting and insights.
Governance & Compliance: Ensure all activities remain in strict compliance with Roche’s brand, tone, and digital governance standards.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with social media trends and tools, attending necessary training to share new ideas with the team.
Who You Are
You are a digitally fluent communicator with curiosity and a proactive attitude. We are looking for a professional who meets the following criteria:
Experience & Education: Typically 2-5 years of experience in social media or digital communications, supported by a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Industry experience in a regulated environment like Pharmaceuticals is a plus.
Publishing Expertise: Proven experience in orchestrating and executing multi-channel content publishing strategies across platforms like LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and YouTube.
Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in German or other languages is a significant advantage.
Collaborative Mindset: Effective influencing and collaboration skills, with the ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
Technical & Analytical Interest: Strong organisational skills with a keen interest in digital storytelling, community engagement, and analytics.
Primary Location: Basel is the primary location. Additional locations may be considered at the hiring manager’s discretion.
