1. Who we are

remotli.ch is a Swiss remote job board operated as a solo project. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at hello@remotli.ch.

2. What data we collect

We collect minimal data. When you visit remotli.ch, we may collect:

  • Anonymous page view and click events (via PostHog analytics)
  • Your IP address (standard web server logs, not stored long-term)
  • Browser type and referring URL (anonymous, aggregated)

If you subscribe to the Remotli digest, we also collect your email address and the date you subscribed. See section 9 for details.

3. Analytics

We use PostHog (EU Cloud, hosted in Frankfurt) for anonymized analytics. PostHog helps us understand which job categories are popular and how users navigate the site. No personal profiles are built. You can opt out of analytics tracking via your browser's Do Not Track setting.

4. Cookies

We use a single analytics cookie set by PostHog to distinguish sessions. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

5. Third-party links

Job listings link to external company career pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

6. Data retention

Anonymized analytics data is retained for 12 months. We do not sell, share, or transfer any data to third parties beyond the analytics provider listed above.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the EU/EEA or Switzerland, you have the right to access, rectify, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Since we collect no personal data in normal browsing, there is typically nothing to delete. For any requests, email hello@remotli.ch.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site grows. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

9. Newsletter subscribers

If you subscribe to the Remotli bi-weekly digest, we collect:

  • Your email address
  • The date and source page of your subscription
  • Your confirmation date (once you complete double opt-in)

Purpose: Sending you the Remotli digest (curated Swiss remote job listings, bi-weekly). We use your email for nothing else.

Legal basis: Explicit consent via double opt-in — you confirm your subscription by clicking a link sent to your inbox.

Processors: Your email is stored in Neon (PostgreSQL, EU Frankfurt) and delivered via Resend (email delivery service).

Retention: Until you unsubscribe. After unsubscribing, your email is retained on a suppression list only (to honour your opt-out) — it is never used for further marketing.

Unsubscribe: Every digest email contains a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email hello@remotli.ch at any time to be removed.
