Business Risk Management (BRM) plays a critical role within the 1st Line of Defense (1LoD) in supporting the Region in managing and monitoring risk across the entire client lifecycle. BRM’s key responsibilities include risk-related advise to Front Management, support risk-related approvals, facilitate stakeholder collaboration (between the three lines of defence), deliver Regional and/or Market Risk Reporting and drive risk-related initiatives across the Bank. BRM is expected to act as a role model in terms of risk behaviour whilst delivering value for (internal) clients and working collaboratively across the Bank.The role offers a unique opportunity to establish a new Suitability Competence Center, with the primary objective of further strengthening front office support across all organizational levels, ensuring robust business oversight and enhancing management reporting.
YOUR CHALLENGE
Provide comprehensive support to front office staff on client suitability matters
Serve as the central point of contact within the region for all tool- and process related topics
Prepare monthly control result reports at both market and group level
Assess control results provided by the 2LoD, including the identification of patterns, discussion of findings with relevant management and RMs
Define and drive suitability related training and awareness initiatives
Establish and maintain best practice guides on key areas and share insights across teams
Lead change management activities within the 1LoD for process- and tool related changes
Support the onboarding of new front office employees and managers
Lead the Suitability Champion sessions and bi-monthly group heads exchange sessions
Perform suitability recurring control tasks and conduct ACE sessions
Act as liaison officer to GPS (including the Suitability RTO) and compliance control units
Represent the region in global suitability related projects and initiatives
Exchange with representatives from other regions to share best practices

Professional and Technical Skills
Banking apprenticeship and/or higher education
At least 3 years of experience in a similar role in the Private Banking Business
In-depth knowledge of suitability related processes, tools and frameworks, as well as general risk management principles
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Fluent language skills (verbal and written) in English, German and French would be an asset
Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment
Independent, efficient, proactive and meticulous working style
Proficient user in MS Office applications, Excel and PowerPoint skills
