This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters.

The Position

This internship is hosted within the Computational Sciences Center of Excellence (CS CoE), a global organization that enables our research units to develop novel therapeutics. You will be part of the Real World Data Insights team located in Basel, Switzerland. As part of the wider CS CoE, we provide expertise in the design, conduct, and analysis of RWD studies to help the development of Roche’s medicines.

In this role, you will drive a high-priority project for the Immunology Disease Therapeutic Area, working in close collaboration with the Immunology & CVRM group to identify and validate novel therapeutic targets and deepen disease understanding.

  • Conduct Specialized Statistical Analysis: Execute advanced causal inference techniques (e.g., propensity score matching, survival analysis)

  • Collaborate across Functions: Work across teams to translate statistical findings into biological insights.

  • Communicate findings: Document and share your findings internally and potentially externally in research reports and potentially publications.

Who You Are

  • Enrolled in (or graduated in the last 12 months from) a Master’s program in Data Science, Statistics, Computational Biology, Epidemiology, or a related field.

  • Strong proficiency in R and experience with version control (git).

  • Solid foundation in advanced statistics (e.g., survival analysis, causal inference, or longitudinal modeling).

  • Experience working with large, high-dimensional datasets.

  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).

  • Prior experience working with Real World Data (RWD) or insurance claims datasets.

  • Knowledge of Epidemiology.

  • Research-driven mindset with prior project experience or publications.
