There are three focus areas within eCoE:

  • Analytics and Insights

As a member of the eCoE you will bring leadership and a strong technical expertise together with the ability to work in a self-aligning team with minimal hierarchy. You will be a catalyst for the  Finance transformation and work effectively as an influencer, and leaning in as coach and catalyst to the Finance network as needed. You have a passion to pilot new approaches and constructively challenge the status quo.  You can tolerate ambiguity.

The Opportunity

As the Pharma Technical Operations (PT) Financial Expert, and in collaboration with the PT FP&A squad, you will be accountable for the overall month-end closing and planning processes (MEC, MO, etc.) of the PT organisation, ensuring high-quality robust data and analytics. You will partner with all PT OBC members, the PT Finance FEP community as well as with Group and Division stakeholders, to translate the financial results into clear actionable insights for the business. Notably, you will:

  • Coordinate and manage the end-to-end Pharma Technical Operations (PT) consolidation and closing process to ensure financial accuracy and compliance

  • Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality financial PT insights and analytics

  • Support the end-to-end financial planning cycles, including T0 forecasting, monthly outlooks, MTOs and annual business plan, translating the financials into business relevant insights

  • Respond to and manage ad hoc financial analyses from PT Finance, Division Finance, Group Controlling, and other key stakeholders

  • Support the PTLT and PT Business requests with ad hoc financial modelling that delivers enhanced analytics and insights for decision-making

  • Provide expert accounting and reporting advice and guidance to manufacturing site finance teams

  • Contribute to and provide project support for Pharma Technical Operations and eCoE initiatives

  • Fluency in written and spoken English

Who you are:

  • A university degree in Finance/Accounting, with 7+ years of relevant work experience (PT experience is a plus)

  • Knowledge of manufacturing finance accounting and IFRS (a CPA/ACCA is a plus)

  • Solid understanding of finance processes & consolidation systems, coupled with strong analytical and modelling skills

  • Strong time management and organisational skills, ability to work under tight timelines and adaptable to changing priorities

  • Strong story-telling, written and verbal communication skills; ability to tailor the message based on audience, including senior stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to change, simplify and improve processes, as well as ability to see through complexity and identify and remove waste

  • Ability to understand the business context (business acumen) and to apply judgment towards prioritisation and decision-making

  • Ability to navigate through a complex, broad, and diverse organisation and to liaise effectively with different organisations and stakeholders
