The Director, Global Strategic Pricing Oncology will be a member of the Alliances/Early Pipeline team. The role will lead global pricing strategy across a complex, multi-asset portfolio, specifically spanning high-stakes joint alliance assets, such as V940 as well as critical early-stage oncology pipeline. In this capacity, the candidate will partner with other members in the team to develop global market access and pricing strategies, and payer value tools leading to successful launches at appropriate value recognition.  For the role, the candidate would need to synthesize extensive and complex information from internal and external insights to formulate the access & pricing considerations, deliver pricing strategies, and lead discussions in key forums to support the brand.

The candidate will work closely with the commercial & finance teams to develop pricing & contracting strategies, launch sequencing and develop access pathways across key markets. The candidate will also provide pricing & access input to forecast cycles and pricing guidance to markets. The candidate will collaborate with the country teams on key external initiatives to shape the broader environment to appropriately value new indications.

Primary activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Development of early pricing guidance and global pricing strategy (US & ex-US) incl. contracting strategy for multiple pipeline assets (Alliances & Early Pipeline)

  • Providing pricing & access input for multiple pipeline assets (Alliances & Early Pipeline) into LROP, forecast cycles, and strategic processes such as GFLS, EGTM, integrate MFN impact assessment into strategic processes.

  • Lead global pricing and payer research across multiple geographies (US & ex US), track and analyze analogues and competitor products to understand shifting payer landscape

  • Create, maintain, and gain approval for global pricing strategy guidance for various new Oncology products

  • Communicate the approved guidance with local and regional teams, via various methods, to facilitate understanding of the global price strategies for Oncology products.

  • Review and analyze proposals to establish, or revise, local list and net prices via the Price Action Request Form (PARF) process to ensure alignment with approved pricing guidance.

  • Work with local/regional/global pricing, access, policy and commercial colleagues as part of the business case review, providing global guidance as appropriate

  • Present the aligned pricing proposals to various regional/global leaders for review and approvals.

  • Act as Market Access and Pricing Oncology liaison partner for key regional/country teams on pricing issues

  • Collaborate with Portfolio Market Access and Pricing team on tracking and analyzing analogues and competitor products to understand shifting payer landscape

  • Be answerable and present to Senior Management on price strategy issues

  • Advise commercial key functions on pricing strategies, incl. representing Oncology Global Pricing in relevant committees' meetings

  • Collaborate closely with Business Development to consider pricing, access and reimbursement in new initiatives

  • Collaborate with external partners for Alliance products

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Overall experience 8+ years in pricing, market access or similar roles such as finance or forecasting

  • 3 years+ experience in pricing/access/reimbursement/commercial with global markets

  • 3 years+ experience in pricing/access/reimbursement/commercial with oncology product

  • Understanding of price/volume deal structures

  • Strong and proven analytical skills (incl. financial modelling etc.)

  • Understanding of the global payer environment and perspectives

  • Experience with policy initiatives

  • Experience in strong influencing, negotiating, conflict resolution skills

  • Strategic thinking and integration skills

  • Experience successfully leading cross functional matrix teams

  • Proven success working within large and complex strategic initiatives

  • Strong project management and implementation/operational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to understand, develop and communicate scientific based strategies and messages

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

  • Strong commercial orientation and business acumen

Preferred:

  • MBA or advanced degree is preferred   

  • US Pricing, Market access and product launch experience in Oncology

The salary range for this role is

$190,800.00 - $300,300.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
