Good food, friendly people, a mild climate that lets you work from a café terrace most of the year, and the kind of walkable city where you can do a full day without touching the metro. Lisbon has felt the Airbnb + nomad boom — long-term rents are up, parts of Bairro Alto and Chiado now read more expat than local — but it's still a genuinely nice place to spend a month. Skip July and August unless you tolerate crowds and heat.
