About this role

About the role

Every day, financial criminals find new ways to exploit banking systems and target their customers. At Vyntra, we're working to stay one step ahead.

We're looking for a curious, analytical and motivated Fraud Intelligence Analyst who combines hands-on fraud experience with strong technical aptitude and a personal commitment to fighting financial crime.

You'll investigate fraud cases, understand why suspicious activity was detected or missed, and turn your findings into intelligence that helps us and our customers improve fraud detection.

This is a role for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with data and understanding how fraud works. You'll need a solid foundation in fraud investigation and the technical confidence to analyse evidence, explore data and work with new tools.

You'll work closely with Customer Excellence, Delivery, Support, Data Science, Product and Customer Success. Fighting financial crime is a team effort at Vyntra, and collaboration is central to this role.

What you'll do

Investigate and understand fraud

  • Investigate fraud cases from initial report through to findings and recommendations, including incidents detected by our solutions and those that were missed.
  • Analyse transaction data, system logs and other information to understand what happened, why it happened and how detection could be improved.
  • Work with technical and functional colleagues to build a complete picture of each case.
  • Produce clear, structured fraud response reports that explain the findings, business context and recommended next steps.

Turn investigations into intelligence

  • Document and enrich our fraud intelligence repository, capturing case findings, fraud typologies, emerging patterns and detection gaps.
  • Identify trends across customers and cases to help us understand the evolving fraud landscape.
  • Develop reports, dashboards and statistics that show what we're detecting, what we're missing and where improvements can be made.
  • Share insights with Product, Data Science, Customer Success and Sales to support better detection, customer conversations and business decisions.

Help us continuously improve

  • Bring a fraud-focused perspective to customer issues, helping colleagues move beyond purely technical explanations to understand the wider business and fraud context.
  • Contribute to improvements in detection capabilities, processes and customer guidance.
  • Explore new tools, automation and AI-assisted approaches that make investigations and intelligence gathering more effective.
  • Occasionally support customer discussions to explain findings and recommendations.

What you'll bring

Essential experience and skills

  • At least 3 years' experience in fraud investigation, fraud analytics or financial crime, ideally within banking, fintech or financial services.
  • A strong understanding of fraud typologies, including payment fraud, account takeover, scams and emerging fraud techniques.
  • Experience investigating fraud cases, analysing evidence and identifying patterns, root causes and potential improvements.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to work confidently with transaction data, system logs and other sources of information.
  • Experience using data analysis tools, such as SQL or Python, to investigate, interpret or report on complex information.
  • The ability to translate technical findings into clear, meaningful fraud intelligence and practical recommendations.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Fluent English.

Nice to have

  • Experience with fraud detection or transaction monitoring platforms.
  • Experience creating dashboards, reports or visualisations using tools such as Power BI or similar.
  • Familiarity with automation, AI-assisted analysis or scripting to improve investigative workflows.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence or similar knowledge management tools.
  • Fluent French language

Who you are

Motivated by the mission. You care about fighting financial crime, protecting customers and understanding how fraudsters operate. You want your work to have a purpose.

Naturally curious. You ask questions, challenge assumptions and enjoy getting to the bottom of complex problems.

A genuine team player. You enjoy working with people across different disciplines, sharing knowledge and learning from others.

Open to new ideas. You're interested in technology, new tools and better ways of working, and you're willing to experiment and develop your skills.

Analytical and thorough. You pay attention to detail, connect information and turn complex findings into clear, useful insights.

Someone who takes ownership. You follow investigations through, communicate clearly and take pride in producing work that helps others make better decisions.

Fighting financial crime, together

At Vyntra, we believe that better intelligence leads to better fraud detection. Every investigation is an opportunity to learn, improve our solutions and help protect financial institutions and their customers.

If you're curious about financial crime, enjoy working with others and want to contribute to something meaningful, we'd love to hear from you.
