Barcelona has an overtourism problem and the city isn't shy about it — locals have visibly run out of patience with the Ramblas-Sagrada-Família corridor, and Airbnb licences are being clawed back. Stay outside Ciutat Vella and the picture changes completely: great food, real cultural depth, beach access, sport for every taste, and a lively nomad scene. Pick Gràcia, Poblenou, or Sant Antoni and skip the tourist quarter.
